LEARN HOW TO:

MAKE A CHARCUTERIE BOARD

WITH THE EXPERT ON BLUE POINT'S TEAM

LETS CUT RIGHT TO THE CHASE

Sorry, we meant cheese.

Cheese Board-1.jpg

STEP 1:

CHOOSE YOUR

CHEESES

Choose your cheese: go for milk and texture variations! Cow, goat, sheep!

Go gooey, crumbly, and soft.

STEP 2:

CUT YOUR CHEESES

Cut your cheeses into triangles.

If the cheese is quite obtuse,

cut the triangles in half by the tip.

If a cheese is crumbly and has a hard wax rind, crumble the cheese.

Keep the rind intact, You will build a “Mountain of Cheese” within it.

*NOTE: Gooey cheeses, like Brie, can be kept as a whole so they don’t spill all over the platter

STEP 3:

VISUALIZE YOUR PLACEMENT

Take your board and lay it flat and begin to visualize your board, this is the key!

How will it all fit?

- Whole cheeses and rinds should be placed in corners.

- Triangles will be cascaded.

- Cheeses should be placed in opposing directions.

- Nuts and Fruits should be layered in, considering texture.

- Honey and/or Jam? You decide.

STEP 4:

LAYOUT YOUR BOARD

Place your grapes in the

corner of your platter.

Begin to build out your

cheese from the grapes.

Fill in your rind. Envision a mountain of cheese, cut tips!

*NOTE: Don't be scared of height! Keep the turns tight and tall, this will help the cascade look nice

Choose a triangular cheese and place them like dominos.

Once you have one swirl down, go for the other! You Got This!

If you have a jam or honey, place the container on the board.

Look at all your cheeses and love how much space is in between them to fill with goodies!

Add dried fruit, Fill up some

empty space like a sea of color!

Grab your salami,

it’s time to make flowers.

Fold in half, Fold in half again Stack tightly between cheeses.

*NOTE: You can use nuts to fill in those empty spaces! Less space = more treats.

It’s time for nuts! Layer them in and play with textures.

Grab your crackers, Layer them

in the empty space.

Now it’s time for the

finishing touch, rosemary!

Or try flowers, something bright that has a nice smell. This will only enhance how the cheese tastes.

STEP 5:

PRESENT YOUR

MASTERPIECE

That’s it, you're done. You’ve created something beautiful! Gaze upon it... before your friends eat the whole thing.

Wondering who to thank for all this grate knowledge?
